About Samantha
Alchemise Pet Care is run by Samantha, a lifelong dog lover with a calm, thoughtful, and welfare-led approach to caring for dogs in a home environment. In the family home is Samantha and her adult son, who gave his pocket money to a dog charity when he was a young child.
Samantha has lived with dogs all her life. Alchemise was created after she struggled to find suitable care for her own elderly dog, Louie. When Louie reached 13, Samantha began working from home because she could not leave him. That experience shaped everything Alchemise stands for.
She wanted to offer other dog guardians the kind of care she would want for her own dogs: safe, calm, attentive, and genuinely home-from-home.
🐾 Experience, training & approach
Samantha brings both practical canine care training and a strong understanding of wellbeing and behaviour to her work. She is:
- DBS checked
- Canine First Aid trained
- Level 3 qualified in Canine Care
- Holder of a First-Class degree in Psychology
- A licensed home boarder with a 4-star rating, the highest available within the first two years of licensing
It took over a year to prepare, train, and meet all licensing requirements for Alchemise Pet Care. The 4-star licence indicates that higher welfare and safety standards have been met, exceeding the minimum required.
Her background supports a calm, observant, and responsive approach — particularly for dogs who benefit from routine, enrichment, and low-stress environments.
🧠 Enrichment-led and personalised care
Samantha believes dogs need more than exercise or cuddles alone. Care at Alchemise includes mental stimulation, enrichment activities, rest, and companionship – always tailored to the individual dog.
For this reason, Alchemise intentionally operates with small numbers only. This allows each dog to be properly known, consistently supported, and cared for as an individual.
🐶 Dogs are treated like family here
Samantha’s own dogs are part of her family – each with their own routines, preferences, toys, and even Christmas stockings. Any dog staying at Alchemise is welcomed with that same mindset.
Dogs are an integral part of daily home life and are treated with kindness, patience, and respect. Dogs’ routines and their guardians’ wishes are followed, with daily updates available and photos sent if desired.
🐾 Supervision & daily care
Dogs at Alchemise are never left unattended for extended periods and are fully integrated into daily household routines, with supervision, enrichment, rest, and outdoor time throughout the day.
Samantha undertakes limited work from home in the areas of psychology and inclusion. This is flexible and planned around the dogs in her care.
Dog welfare and supervision are always the priority during day care and boarding.

Samantha runs Alchemise in a way that supports clear, calm, and accessible communication – for both dogs and people.
